OUR HISTORY

Welcome To

14 Mill Market

After a season of empty-nesting and a strong desire to create a new concept as an investment into the community, Rich and Leah Callahan developed 14 Mill Market in early 2021 after a road trip to Tulsa, OK.

Not Nixa Natives, but rather transplants years ago from Las Vegas, NV and Houston, TX, Rich and Leah dedicated to bringing SW Missouri’s first food hall to Nixa, MO with inspiration from their urban roots and love of travel, combined with what they feel the Ozarks offers best–community hospitality.

Keeping History Alive

Revitalizing The Mill

A 1955-built structure in Nixa, Mo known as the Wisner Mill was used for over three decades by D&D Feed and Farm Supply Inc. was officially torn down in May of 2022. It was really in very, very bad condition. Most of this historic building was blocked off for decades, as some of its floors had rotted due to water damage. D&D used the front portion of the building to sell bags of animal feed up until October of 2021.

14 Mill Market has salvaged some of the building artifacts, such as feed mixers, scales and oak that will be used in the food hall. This property is one of the original homesteads in Nixa dating back to the late 1800s.

Our goal is really important since we couldn’t keep the building to at least try and retain some of those key pieces to put in our architecture, We believe people will fall in love with the new architecture and the historic decor we will feature throughout the building.
